This page explains, in plain words, what happens to the information you give us through this website — who reads it, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and how to have it corrected or deleted.

Who we are
This website is published by Sri Sharada International School, run by the Sri Sharada Foundation Trust, Survey No. 1/2, Near Koppal Medical College, Gangavathi Road, Kidadhal, Koppal – 583231, Karnataka. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “the school” mean that body, and “you” means anyone who visits this website or sends us an enquiry through it.
We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described below. If you want to reach us about anything on this page, write to admission@ssis.org.in or call +91 95381 88888.
What we collect
We collect two things, and nothing else. We do not ask you to create an account, and there is no login on this site.
- What you type into the enquiry form
- The parent or guardian’s name, a mobile number, and the class you are enquiring about. Optionally — only if you fill them in — the student’s name, an email address, and a message. You also tell us whether you want a call back, an admission enquiry or general information.
- What your browser sends when you submit it
- Your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the page you submitted from. These are recorded with the enquiry and used to rate-limit submissions and to recognise automated spam. They are not used to build a profile of you.
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, tag managers or any other tracking on this site. We do not buy, sell, rent or trade personal data, and we never will.
Why we use it
We use what you send us only to answer you and to keep a record of the enquiry for the admissions office:
- To call or write back about the admission or question you raised.
- To keep an internal record of enquiries so the office can follow up and does not contact you twice about the same thing.
- To protect the form from automated abuse, by limiting how often it can be submitted from one address and by flagging submissions that look automated.
- To understand, in aggregate, how many enquiries arrive and for which classes — so the school can plan intake. This counting uses no personal detail.
We do not use your details to market unrelated services to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list on the strength of an enquiry.
Children’s information
This is a school website, so some of what we are told concerns children. The enquiry form is meant to be filled in by a parent or legal guardian, and by submitting it you confirm that you are one.
We ask for a student’s name only as an optional field, and only so the office knows who the enquiry is about. We never ask a child for their own details through this website, we do not track children, and we do not direct advertising at anyone.
Photographs of students appear on this site with the consent given to the school under its admission documentation. If you are a parent or guardian and would like a photograph of your child removed from this website, tell us and we will take it down — no reason needed.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry is read by the school’s admissions staff. To deliver it to them and store it safely, it passes through a small number of service providers, each of which handles it only on our instructions:
- Supabase
- Hosts the database the enquiry is stored in. This is the record of truth for the admissions office.
- Hostinger
- Hosts this website and its server logs.
- Resend
- Delivers the notification email to the school’s admissions inbox.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform)
- Delivers the notification message to the school’s official WhatsApp number, where the school has that integration switched on.
- Google (Sheets)
- Holds an internal copy of enquiry records used by the office for reporting. Not public, and not shared further.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile)
- Runs the anti-spam check on the enquiry form. It checks that a browser, not a script, is submitting the form, and it does not track you across sites.
Some of these providers operate servers outside India. Beyond them, we disclose personal data only where the law requires it of us — for example to a court, a regulator, or the Central Board of Secondary Education acting within its powers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as the admissions conversation they belong to is live, and then for up to three academic years as the school’s record of enquiries received. After that they are deleted.
If a child joins the school, their records move into the school’s own student information systems and are governed by the school’s records policy and by CBSE requirements, not by this website policy.
Technical details attached to an enquiry — the IP address and user agent — are kept only as long as the enquiry they are attached to.
How we protect it
- The whole site is served over HTTPS; plain HTTP requests are redirected, and browsers are instructed to use HTTPS for this domain in future.
- The enquiry form is rate-limited per visitor and overall, rejects submissions that do not come from this site, and caps the size of what it will read.
- What you type is validated and cleaned before it is stored, and the database is queried through parameterised statements.
- A browser content-security policy restricts what the site is allowed to load, and the site declines access to the camera, microphone, location and payment interfaces outright.
- Access to the enquiry database is limited to the staff who need it.
No website can promise perfect security, and we do not. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will report it as the law requires and tell you.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and who we have shared it with.
- Correct anything that is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
- Erase what we hold, where we are not required to keep it.
- Withdraw a consent you gave us — which is as easy to do as it was to give.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
Write to admission@ssis.org.in and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
