The philosophy

Tap a letter — together they spell how a child is SHAPEd here.

— joy

Literacy and numeracy through hands-on play. Integrated learning of all subjects with an emphasis on phonetics; comprehensive skills, stamina, balance and rhythm; real-world learning through creative activities and field trips — so learning begins as joy.

— curiosity

Curiosity, nurtured. Prose, poetry, drama and non-fiction; mathematics focused on problem-solving, logic and analysis; environmental science in the open-air science park; excellent indoor and outdoor games; first steps in ICT and robotics.

Secondary · Classes VI to X

— practice

Mastery of advanced concepts with an emphasis on mathematics. Experienced staff drawn from across the country, exposure to competitions and competitive exams, an upgraded robotics curriculum — and one-to-one performance monitoring through the Class X board year.

Curriculum & books

Two proven frameworks carry a child from the first grade to the boards — chosen so that thinking skills come before memorisation, and CBSE standards are met without ever teaching to the test alone.

XSEED

Grades I to VII

Sri Sharada International School has adopted the XSEED curriculum — a proven, research-based academic programme designed to nurture confident, independent and thoughtful learners. XSEED builds strong thinking and problem-solving skills through deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation, encouraging students to question, explore and apply their learning to real life — preparing them to excel in examinations and beyond them.

NCERT

Grades VIII to X

The school follows CBSE guidelines with NCERT textbooks as an integral part of the senior curriculum. The NCERT framework ensures a consistent standard of academic excellence while promoting competency-based, well-rounded learning — knowledge, skills and critical thinking that students can apply in real-life situations, nurturing intellectual, social, emotional, creative and practical growth.

Facilities

A good building does not make a school — but walk these corridors at mid-morning and you can hear what does. Each of these rooms has its own hour of the day, and its own story.

Where the day begins

Smart Classrooms

The first bell has barely faded when the boards light up. A Kannada poem appears stroke by stroke on the interactive screen, and thirty heads bend over ergonomic desks in rooms designed to stay cool, bright and quiet. Teaching here is a conversation, not a lecture.

Robotics & Tinkering Lab

By 10:40 the green tables are covered in gears, sensors and arguments about torque. A Class VII team's rover finally takes its first straight line across the floor, and the cheer carries down the corridor. Every stage of school has its own robotics curriculum — this room is where it comes alive.

Science Laboratories

Children are not vessels to be filled but lamps to be lit. In the composite science lab a teacher holds a test tube to the window light while a dozen safety-goggled faces lean in; across the corridor, the mathematics lab turns formulas into things you can hold. Nothing here is watched that could be tried.

Open-Air Science Park

Under the open sky, a boy shouts into the whispering dish and his friend, forty feet away, laughs at hearing him perfectly. Twenty-five working exhibits — resonance bells, a giant globe, gravity chutes — stand on the lawn so that a free period can quietly become a physics lesson.

High Garden Library

A tree grows in the middle of this library — and cloud lamps float above it. Under W.R.I.T.E., our reading curriculum, every class has its café hour here: young poets' meets, guest readings, and the long, comfortable silence of children lost in books. Today's readers, tomorrow's leaders.

Computer Labs

Rows of bright screens, small determined faces, and the soft clatter of first keystrokes. From drawing shapes in primary to writing real code in the senior classes, the spacious labs make an inclusive, structured home for a tech-heavy future.

  • ICT from primary years

Where hands think

Art & Craft Studio

Clay elephants dry on the windowsill next to paper cranes and a half-finished birthday card. The art studio is one of the happiest rooms in the school — every child's work goes up in the gallery for parents and visitors, because finishing something with your own hands deserves an audience.

Music & Dance Rooms

A tabla lesson leaks through the door — keyboard, harmonium, guitar and jazz drums take turns through the week, with Hindustani and Carnatic vocals in between. Down the hall, Bharatanatyam anklets keep a different time. The school band rehearses here for every stage the year offers.

The 1000-Seat Auditorium

On Saturday mornings this hall becomes a temple of learning — a thousand students chanting the Bhagavad-Gita in one voice. By December it is Sharada Parva: fire dances, pyramids and folk costumes under stage light. Movie nights, TED talks and farewells all live here too.

Semi-Olympic Pool

The 2:45 batch lines the edge, toes curled over the tile, while full-time trainers walk the lanes. The semi-Olympic pool is where the school keeps an old promise — that every child who passes through SSIS leaves knowing the essential life skill of swimming.

Grounds & Indoor Arena

A 200-metre track rings the main ground; kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball and throwball each have their own court, and the wooden-floored indoor complex keeps badminton and table tennis alive through summer. After the last bell, ASSP — the after-school sports programme — lets the games run on.

Transport

Before the first bell, the fleet is already threading through Koppal town, Gangavathi Road and the surrounding villages. Every bus is modern, GPS-tracked end to end and run to CBSE and government norms — so parents watch the route, and the school watches every child home.
